   What do you think of the following idea?
   
   1. Initially the checkbox looks as usual
   2. When the user clicks, a drop-down appears that asks if the value should be toggled or if the checkbox should be converted to an editable field
   3. If user selects "text field", then checkbox is replaced with a text field with a "discard" action that will convert the textbox back to a checkbox appearance
