   It would be good if this could be implemented as a new LedgerStorage implementation, rather than modifying what we have already with a bunch of boolean flags scattered around the code. I see the patch makes modifications to EntryMem table for example, which is entirely unnecessary if you only write a single ledger to an entrylog.
