Have an issue whereby Tableau Desktop is trying to run an initial SQL on connection to MapR through apache and won't allow it in 1.9, same sql works fine in 1.8 , any thoughts?

running 

ALTER SESSION SET `planner.memory.max_query_memory_per_node` = <arbitrary figure>
