How can I enable extended logging of Maven?

Hi,
 
I'm using the maven:reactor tag to make a nightly build of all my projects.
However, sometimes maven continues with the next subproject without being
completely finished with the subproject he is building. How can I get more
info on why he is doing this? Is there some kind of logging that can be
enabled?

call Maven with -X will give you every detailed debug messges.
