The preferred OS for building OpenOffice on Linux is CentOS 5 (RedHat analog...)
This makes the generated binaries as widely compatible as possible.  
This is the platform that we expect to run the most buildbot flows on, so we would like to convert tethys, which is dedicated to AOO buildbot and imaged as Linux64, to CentOS 5 32-bit.
In discussions, it seems that the preferred option is to run a CentOS vm on top of an ubuntu host, so that the host can be managed as the rest of the infra infra.
