I successfully replicated the above bug on my Windows7 PC.The steps I followed
are
1.Open a new Open Office text document.
2.Enter text into any one line of the document.
3.Now try clicking the decrement indentation button. After few clicks the text
tends to move out of the left boundary and it disappears.

Expected outcome:

When I tried using increment indentation following the above steps, the text
stops at the right boundary. This can be expected even while decrementing
indentation.
