what means "REPORT request failed on "

  i just checked out the latest repo of "trac" (which worked nicely),
and then:

$ svn st -u
svn: REPORT request failed on 'http://svn.edgewall.com/repos/trac/trunk'
svn: The requested report is unknown.

several attempts and i get the same response each time.  thoughts?

You hit an svn 1.2.1 client bug:  'svn st -u' doesn't work against  
pre-1.2 mod_dav_svn servers.  Fixed in the upcoming 1.2.2 release (or  
in the latest /trunk) code.
