[jira] Created: (MNG-3789) Add "description" element to profile
definition
Add "description" element to profile definition
-----------------------------------------------
Key: MNG-3789
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-3789
Project: Maven 2
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Profiles
Environment: All
Reporter: Russ Rollins
Priority: Minor
I think it'd be very helpful to add a description element to the profile definition. This is beneficial in a team setting because it would follow profile creation and add a cleaner way of describing the intention of the profile rather than rely on interspersed comments. The extra information is helpful in project documentation and collaboration. Additionally, this would also be helpful for IDE users (I have coworkers exclusively using Maven in IntelliJ) so that they can use the tools built integrated tools with helpful information.
