[jira] [Created] (DIRSERVER-1622) IPv6 support wherever easy

IPv6 support wherever easy
--------------------------

                 Key: DIRSERVER-1622
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1622
             Project: Directory ApacheDS
          Issue Type: Wish
         Environment: all
            Reporter: Christ Schlacta

I'd like to request that IPv6 support be added wherever it's easy to add. Listening sockets, DHCP and DNS records, etc. If it's already available and not documented, at least some reference should be made in either the features list or the beginner/advanced guides somewhere.

This also might belong as an improvement or feature instead of a wish. not really sure. With the depletion of IPv4 address space impending, it may be a Blocker in the near future.
