Status of Ruby bindings

Hello

What is the status of the Ruby bindings in subversion/bindings/ruby ?
There seems to be no supported way of building them (and absolutely
no documentation...) Is there hope to hack them together or should
I just add a ruby-swig wrapper, which should be relatively easy.

Any tips appreciated.

ps. please CC-me as I am not on the list.

agreed. it would be quite nice if someone could throw together some
swig based wrappers for ruby.

My impression is that they are completely stale now. If you want to
whip them into shape, that would be great; if not, we should probably
remove them so they don't lead people astray (we can always point
restore them if something changes).
