[jira] [Created] (SOLR-9903) Stop interrupting the update executor on shutdown as it can cause graceful shutdowns to put replicas into Leader Initiated Recovery.

Mark Miller created SOLR-9903:
---------------------------------

Summary: Stop interrupting the update executor on shutdown as it can cause graceful shutdowns to put replicas into Leader Initiated Recovery.
                 Key: SOLR-9903
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-9903
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
            Reporter: Mark Miller
            Assignee: Mark Miller

I also want this change in SOLR-9824. There is a related JIRA somewhere that points this out, though that JIRA may be broader in scope.

I think there are many good reasons not to interrupt after some additional experience.
