Updating database psml larger than 4k fails under Oracle

Summary: Updating database psml larger than 4k fails under Oracle
           Product: Jetspeed
           Version: 1.4b2
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: Database
        AssignedTo: jetspeed-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: morciuch@apache.org

When pointing the db psml manager at oracle, the field used to store the
psml is a "long raw". Once the profile gets above about 4k in size, it
cannot be written to the database any more. I'm using the oracle thin
client.
