tomee and docker (jarstxt)

Hi,
I've been playing around with tomee and docker and have made a cluster
solution using the weave network (pretty cool, actually :-) )

using jarstxt on my ears I get this in logs:

Jan 16 18:19:31 core-02 docker[2600]: Jan 16, 2015 6:19:31 PM
org.apache.openejb.util.OpenEJBErrorHandler handleUnknownError
Jan 16 18:19:31 core-02 docker[2600]: SEVERE: FATAL ERROR: Unknown error in
Assembler. Please send the following stack trace and this message to
users@openejb.apache.org :
Jan 16 18:19:31 core-02 docker[2600]: java.lang.ArrayStoreException:
sun.reflect.annotation.TypeNotPresentExceptionProxy
Jan 16 18:19:31 core-02 docker[2600]: at
sun.reflect.annotation.AnnotationParser.parseClassArray(AnnotationParser.java:715)

Running in a standalone tomee I have no issues.

I am just trying to decode the error message....

The mvn plugin doesnt support it cause it is not deterministic but you can
replace mvn resolver to use the repo you want on coming version. We can
make it configurable for next versions as well
@Thiago,
no worries :-)

@Romain,
I know it will work, but I was kind of hoping it was possible to generate
such entries using the jarstxt plugin :-)

https://rmannibucau.wordpress.com/2013/03/15/tomee-a-war-without-dependencies/

"Next step can be to get a maven plugin supporting or helping with the
generation of such a file."

Lets say we get a few more providers like Primefaces.
I am, like many others, an Elite member which has the bugfix relases
available.
They are not avaliable at public maven2 repos.

I have to add BF releases to our "private" repository.

When it comes to my original question regarding docker, I will add libs to
vm shared dir (mapped to container m2.dir)

A good happy saturday evening to Y'all.

Hi,
it's right now provisioned via vagrant/coreos/fleet, but running docker exec
-ti <container> /bin/bash on the vm is proving I have connection to my
internal repos (and dns). Yeah, it's on NAT network.

...If that's what you mean :-)

Hi,
This is just a guess. I have no computer to test it out but...

Is your docker server inside a vm?
If yes, is this vm using a NAT instead of a bridged network card?

[]s,
Thiago.
Hi

If no repo is specified in jars.txt central is used by default otherwise it
uses specified one. See

OK,

is it possible to use the jarstxt plugin and add repos to artifact?
I've seen that there is a remoterepos option.....

Hi,
I identified the issue.

TomEE is not downloading deps from my private repository (nexus).
Is there a way of fixing this?

(I can of course bypass this by sharing a lib directory from host containing
all deps...)

not using jarstxt on my ear all "private" deps are put in ear/lib so thats
ok. However jarstxt only retrieves public deps.

Guess there is no link with docker. You should ve able to check in work
folder dowloaded jar. Maybe someones are corrupted.

Perso i put a breakpoint in this exception constructor to know.

Hi Romain.
is there a way of getting more info from the jarstxt processing?
I cannot from the log see which dependencies that are missing.
As I mentioned, the ear is working fine not using docker.

Hi

means you miss some dependencies and then annotations can be
parsed/loaded (getAnnotations()) correctly at runtime
