Watching config file changes on netcf

I want to modify logging properties during execution on devices running 
.netcf, over a GPRS connection. I'm aware from the documentation that
watching changes to the log4net configuration file is not currently 
supported on the .NET Compact Framework.

Is anybody else working on this kind of problem (either with their own 
workarounds, or something they would like to commit to the log4net 
codebase) ?

Any advice much appreciated.
