[jira] Created: (DERBY-3107) On client, Clob.free() does not
release locators.
On client, Clob.free() does not release locators.
-------------------------------------------------
Key: DERBY-3107
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-3107
Project: Derby
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Network Client
Affects Versions: 10.3.1.4
Environment: All
Reporter: Øystein Grøvlen
Priority: Minor

The patch looks good to me (but it adds two lines with trailing spaces). +1 to commit.

Øystein Grøvlen resolved DERBY-3107.
------------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Fix Version/s: 10.4.0.0
Derby Info: (was: [Patch Available])
Thanks for the review, Knut Anders, I have committed the fix, but by accident, I ended up removing all trailing spaces from the file, not just from the lines added by me.
I will also port this fix to 10.3 (without the white space noise).

Øystein Grøvlen updated DERBY-3107:
-----------------------------------
Derby Info: [Patch Available]
Existing tests succeed with this patch.
It is bit difficult to write tests for this, but the locking tests that are added to jdbc4/ClobTest as part of DERBY-3098 fails for client-server without this fix.

Attachment: derby-3107.diff
Attached patch, derby-3107.diff, makes sure Clob.free() releases the associated locator.
I also added tracing of Clob.free() since that was missing.
