   Some of the Javascript libraries used are deprecated.
   
   **Describe the solution you'd like**
   The codebase should be updated to use modern and supported alternatives.
   
   **Describe alternatives you've considered**
   https://babeljs.io/ seems to have functionality that has supplanted the previous implementations.
