Trying to run all unit tests runs only a small sub-set of the tests:
For example:
mvn test -Phadoop-2
only ran 272 tests.

Others ran into similar issues when running the UTs from a particular package like ql.

This is potentially related to HIVE-10941 where an additional option to skip the Spark UTs was added. When I take out 
<exclude>%regex[${skip.spark.files}]</exclude>
from the exclude list of tests, all tests are executed again. This is not a fix though, instead the spark-test profile should be fixed.

I see the problem in both the 1.2 branch as well as master.
