Grengine 1.2.0 ("@Grab('ch.grengine:grengine:1.2.0')", https://www.grengine.ch/) now includes a convenient way to apply the workaround, simply call Grengine.Grape.activate() or Grengine.Grape.activate(lockOfYourChoice) to wrap the GrapeEngine in the Grape.class with one that locks and call Grengine.Grape.deactivate() to unwrap.
