[jira] Updated: (ADDR-3) org.apache.axis.message.addressing.AddressingHeaders.setAction(String uri) should support empty string values for uri

     [ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ADDR-3?page=all ]

Clive Brettingham-Moore updated ADDR-3:
---------------------------------------

    Attachment: empty-action.diff

It's a little more complex than that if you want the handlers to be able to process empty action without faulting.
This is the patch set I'm using at the moment (not exhaustive but it works for me).

> org.apache.axis.message.addressing.AddressingHeaders.setAction(String uri) appears to be throwing an exception when I pass in an empty string as the uri value.
> The exception is being thrown in new URI(""):
> this.action = new Action(new URI(uri));
> I think I should be able to pass in an empty string. I think setAction(String uri) should look like:
>             if (uri.trim().equals(""))
>                 this.action = new Action(new URI());
>             else
>                 this.action = new Action(new URI(uri));
