Configuration Docs

Where can I find some docs relating to how to set up the web.xml,
tomcat.conf, and server.xml files? I'd really like to know how to set
up a directory in each user's ~/ directory like:

/home/foo/public_html (Any .html, .shtml, .php, .jsp, etc.)
/home/foo/public_html/servlets (All servlet classes)
/home/foo/public_html/cgi-bin (Any perl/other exec. scripts)

I don't even know how I'm supposed to set up a .class in the directory
and call it from a web page. Please help. First real shot at working
with Servlets..

Try first to work with the example directories ( webpages or examples ),
try a few servlets and see how it works.

Setting up a directory for each user is not so simple ( and I don't think
it's a good ideea without class reloading).

Web.xml is documented in the Servlet Specification, and in order to add a
new web application to tomcat you just need to edit server.xml and
cut&paste the line that adds /examples.

I need to find the documentation for this too. I have searched the mailing
list archives on my machine and I've been tearing the web apart trying to
find anything and it's all useless. The link to the DTD in the web.xml that
came with Tomcat is wrong. The link to an explanation of the web.xml in a
sample web.xml I found was wrong.

Tomcat is useless to me if I can't add my own servlet contexts. Please
help! I'm going crazy!!!
