--------------------------------------

Hi Suraj, the patch looks good to me. Build is still stable and the generated file was copied to the target directory:

/*
 * Generated by src/saveVersion.sh
 */
@HamaVersionAnnotation(version="0.4.0-incubating-SNAPSHOT", revision="1231088", branch="",
                         user="thomasjungblut", date="Mon Jan 16 09:37:06 CET 2012", url="https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/hama/trunk/core",
                         srcChecksum="ace457db84ccb412b6412a32e2907505")
package org.apache.hama;

Thank you for contributing, this is great work!
I guess we can schedule this to 0.4.0.

But I think we still have no release target, so we have to make sure that this will be copied to the right destination.

> It would be nice to make the web UI display the version of running Hama cluster. e.G. 0.3.0 or 0.4.0.
> This is a bit tricky, so you should be a bit familar with how Hadoop does this.
> Plus points: If you can add the name of the person how has compiled the version. Here you can have a look how Hadoop does this at compile time.
