[jira] [Closed] (OPENNLP-831) NER model creation is taking much time for large files

Joern Kottmann closed OPENNLP-831.
----------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

This couldn't be reproduced. The training time should be slightly better now due to the hash map fix.

Maybe your machine was doing something else during training or it started swapping?

We can reopen this if we get more details or the data files to run it our self.

> opennlp 1.6 is taking huge amount of time (nearly 6 hours ) to train a set of sentences (sentences count = 20000) . Each sentence may vary in length .You must try to decrease the training time. Is there any way to decrease the training time.If yes please let me know.
