After upgrading from 8.0.30 to 8.5.5 we can't hot deploy applications anymore
because undeployment always fails with the error:
The Tomcat Manager responded "FAIL - Unable to delete [PATH TO WAR]. The
continued presence of this file may cause problems.
If we move back to 8.0.30 then we have no issues.
We've tried both unpacked and packed WAR's, we've also tried adding
AntiResourceLocking to the context.xml and nothing has resolved this issue.

We are running on Windows 2008 R2 64bit with JDK 8. We are using
clustering. All 15 of our web applications are being impacted. Can
you be more specific about the information you’d like to know?
I see that 8.5.6 has been released, but the Maven repos have not been updated
yet. Do you know when the 8.5.6 versions will be published to the Maven
Central repository?

There are some relevant changes in 8.5.6, but otherwise can you give
unformation on the webapp that you're trying to redeploy as well as your
platform ?

8.5.6 seems to have fixed the problem. Which change in 8.5.6 do you think
resolved the issue?
