[jira] Created: (FOR-976) PlugIn to identify all references to a given page or resource

PlugIn to identify all references to a given page or resource
-------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: FOR-976
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOR-976
             Project: Forrest
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Plugins: Potential new
            Reporter: Ferdinand Soethe

It currently requires intimate knowledge of Forrest to find out if a given resource is still referred to by other parts of a project. Using grep searches requires a look up of all alternative names of such a resource (such as its name in the site:-protocol etc.). This plugin could at least deliver all possible names that one needs to look for. Even better seems an xml-file of references created by the plugin during a 'forrest site' that could then be used to provide a comprehensive list. Best would be a dynamic lookup that also works in dynamic mode.
