The issue may be related to the LATEST mac OSX El Capitan being offered as FREE
UPGRADE to macbookpro owners (2015).
OSX El Capitan upgrade recommends upgrading the open office because some
application is incompatible in the old version of the open office.

Upgrading to the latest open office presents the problem of UNINTELLIGIBLE
menus.

Not a P1 priority.
Could you provide a screenshot for what you described?

THANK YOU.
I just uninstalled the "problem" version, and Re-Installed the latest version
from the office Apache site.

I am embarrassed to have raised an issue which developed from my OWN OVERSIGHT.

I believe I might not have checked LANGUAGE during the "problem" downloads
(more than once,I am sorry to admit).

THANKS EVER SO MUCH FOR SUCH A NICE OFFICE SUITE.
