>From my discussion with Chris Mattman:

"The Jenkins server has a bunch of different slaves that run on different OS'es. In Jenkins you can specify which slave to run on by providing that label either dynamically when running the job or via the Jenkins job conf."

We should do this given the number of cross platform differences in libraries / gcc versions / etc.
