Too many random JIRA ticket mails ??
Hi All,
I am receiving too many jira ticket emails which appear like spam.
Is something wrong with JIRA?
Do you all also get these emails?
Regards
Ankit

Hi guys,
It should stop now. INFRA has put our project into complete read-only
mode for the moment. Somehow the spammers managed to circumvent the
permissions "lockdown" that was already in place! Will send out a
status report separately.

Good morning guys. Ough what a terrible sight in my inbox... And it
seems I cannot even create JIRA tickets on INFRA to make them go chase
it. I will also try twitter etc... Hope they can do something about
it. In the meanwhile I don't think it makes sense that I try and close
all those issues manually?

Hi Ankit,
JIRA is under a heavy spam attack. The "funny" part is that JIRA is locked down so that only admins and contributors are allowed to post comments and new issues, but apparently that doesn't work on our project.
Since I am not an admin, I can't close the issues, and I can't currently make an issue with Infra, so we pretty much just have to sit tight and wait for Kasper to wake up (he's in Seattle, so that's probably a few hours from now).
I tried tweeting ASF about the ineffective lockdown, but no reaction.
BR,
Dennis
