ASF Board Report for RocketMQ - September 2021

Dear board,

Here is the Apache RocketMQ Board Report - September 2021, and thanks for your review,

## Description:

The mission of Apache RocketMQ is the creation and maintenance of software 
related to a fast, low latency, reliable, scalable, distributed, easy to use 
message-oriented middleware, especially for processing large amounts of 
streaming data


## Issues:


There are no issues requiring board attention at this time.


## Membership Data:


Apache RocketMQ was founded 2017-09-20 (4 years ago)
There are currently 45 committers and 14 PMC members in this project.
The Committer-to-PMC ratio is roughly 3:1.


Community changes, past quarter:
- No new PMC members. Last addition was Rongtong Jin on 2020-03-30.
- Zhimin Li was added as committer on 2021-07-29
- Nicholas Jiang was added as committer on 2021-09-22
- Osgoo Li was added as committer on 2021-09-19
- Seraph was added as committer on 2021-09-09
- Tang Jie was added as committer on 2021-08-11
- Xiaodong was added as committer on 2021-09-09
- Da Yu was added as committer on 2021-09-14
- yuzhou was added as committer on 2021-08-12
- Jidi Zhang was added as committer on 2021-09-04


## Project Activity:


- ROCKETMQ-SPRING-2.2.1 was released on 2021-09-06.
- ROCKETMQ-4.9.1 was released on 2021-08-22.
- ROCKETMQ-5.0.0-PREVIEW was released on 2021-09-17.


## Community Health:


The RocketMQ community has remained very healthy in the latest quarter,
with more and more developers participating and being more active.
With the release of 5.0.0-PREVIEW, the two major features of 5.0, pop consumer and logic queue, met with developers. 
RocketMQ 5.0 will also have more and more new features introduced.


- dev@rocketmq.apache.org had a 81% increase in traffic in the past quarter (3749 emails compared to 2064)
- users@rocketmq.apache.org had a 50% increase in traffic in the past quarter (18 emails compared to 12)
- 217 commits in the past quarter (31% increase)
- 65 code contributors in the past quarter (6% increase)
- 206 PRs opened on GitHub, past quarter (-6% change)
- 216 PRs closed on GitHub, past quarter (8% increase)
- 244 issues opened on GitHub, past quarter (-6% change)
- 217 issues closed on GitHub, past quarter (13% increase)
