not sure which version do we need, the 1.23 version (used above) is too low. the latest version 2.20 cant run on centos.

unfortunately my box is on centos7.
this is what eventually worked for me, in case others encountered the same
```
sudo curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.28.6/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
```

@kou the build is really slow.
does the compiling environment gets setup every time or just the first time if I am on the same box ?
