[jira] [Created] (ASTERIXDB-1821) Long running ORDER BY issue at
U-Wash
Michael J. Carey created ASTERIXDB-1821:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Long running ORDER BY issue at U-Wash
Key: ASTERIXDB-1821
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ASTERIXDB-1821
Project: Apache AsterixDB
Issue Type: Bug
Components: AsterixDB, Compiler, Error Reporting, Translator - SQL++
Environment: U-Washington
Reporter: Michael J. Carey
Assignee: Yingyi Bu
From Dan Suciu:
.... there is a bug in the ORDER BY clause; I can't pinpoint exactly
what happens, but after running repeatedly queries with ORDER BY,
eventually the server no longer responds to an ORDER BY query, until
it is restarted. I got lots of complains from students who were using
the shared server, since they couldn't restart the server themselves
and couldn't run ORDER BY queries. If you to debug, try running the
queries in our homework repeatedly.
