Error while Merging 

Hi all,

i am getting following error while merging the
segments

050806 144055 No NutchFileSystem indicated, so
defaulting to local fs.
050806 144055 Clearing old deletions in
/opt/nutch_repository/url.extranet-20050715183452/segments/20050716145111/index(/opt/nutch_repository/url.extranet-20050715183452/segments/20050716145111/index)
Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Lock
obtain timed out:
Lock@/tmp/lucene-e5199d2c6f59844c821bae8857da8cd1-write.lock
	at org.apache.lucene.store.Lock.obtain(Lock.java:58)
	at
org.apache.lucene.index.IndexReader.aquireWriteLock(IndexReader.java:408)
	at
org.apache.lucene.index.IndexReader.undeleteAll(IndexReader.java:466)
	at
net.nutch.indexer.DeleteDuplicates.main(DeleteDuplicates.java:316)

pls help how to merge without problem,

This is the result of a previous operation that is either still running 
or that failed in a bad way (process killed or machine crashed, not a 
Java Exception).  If you know that there are no commands running using 
that index, then you can simply remove the lock file (/tmp/lucene-xxxx).

regx-urlfilter question

at which step is this file used, it still fetches url's outside of what I
put in there, is it used in the indexing only?

1. What flavor/version of Linux are you on? 
2. Is this on an nfs/samba mount or local hdd?
3. Where is your /tmp located, and is it "writable" (nutch has access and
dir is not full)
