GSoC 2026 New contributor interested in Apache Fineract

Hello Fineract community,

My name is Yash Bagal , and I am a student interested in contributing to
Apache Fineract as part of Google Summer of Code 2026.

I have experience in Java backend development and have worked with
technologies such as Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database-driven
applications. While reviewing the GSoC ideas list, I found the Apache
Fineract projects very interesting and would like to explore the codebase
and understand the system architecture.

Before preparing my proposal, I would like to start contributing to the
project so that I can become familiar with the development workflow and
community practices.

Could you please guide me toward beginner-friendly issues or resources that
would help a new contributor get started with Apache Fineract?
