[jira] Commented: (SLING-1338) sling.properties should be trimmed when reading

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-1338?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12806056#action_12806056 ]

Felix Meschberger commented on SLING-1338:
------------------------------------------

We currently use the Java Properties class to load the properties file and the provide the properties as is. I am not sure, whether we should iterate over all properties and trim them before putting them back in the map.

Additionally the term "I don't think we need" sounds suspiciously like "no application will ever use more than 640KB"...

So I am not yet convinced about this issue ...

> Project: Sling

> Priority: Minor
>
> Values from sling.properties are not trimmed when read by the org.apache.sling.launchpad.base.impl.Sling class.
> This can lead to hard to diagnose problems, and I don't think we need to have leading or trailing spaces in any of those values.
