Got it. But note that your HeaderName directive does not seem to be set
correctly, because I see no HEADER.html here:
http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/www.apache.org/dist/httpd/

dist is in / and so forth. Server is dual stacked, you can use
ftp.ipv6.heanet.ie and ftp.ipv4.heanet.ie explicitly though.
Connectd via GigE to our backbone (see www.hea.net), shortly
to become a GigE backbone.

Hello Joshua,

I've corrected it. Sorry for the mistake but our apache is
quite strictly configured and the directory listings
were disabled by default system wide.

I just tried your http mirror and the most important part (the dist/
directory) gives a forbidden error. If you can fix this, I'll add it to
the mirrors list.

Joshua.

Mirror doesn't show in mirrors page.

Posted by Riccardo Facchetti <ri...@inetcosmos.org>.
Hello,

some time ago I setup a new apache mirror and asked
to put it into http://www.apache.org/mirrors/
Today it still doesn't show in that page.

The mirror is:

http://www.apache.inetcosmos.org/
ftp://ftp.apache.inetcosmos.org/pub/apache/dist/

Can someone correct this ?

Many thanks.

Ciao,
	Riccardo.

According to the documentation,

<Directory /path/to/mirror>
  Options Indexes Includes
IndexOptions FancyIndexing NameWidth=* FoldersFirst ScanHTMLTitles DescriptionWidth=*
  HeaderName HEADER.html
  ReadmeName README.html
  AllowOverride FileInfo Indexes
</Directory>

Works excellently here :-)

It's probably not your fault. I just changed those docs yesterday.

It would be helpful if all mirror maintainers could take a look at
http://www.apache.org/info/how-to-mirror.html
and change your site configuration appropriately. Also, suggestions
on improving that document are welcome.

Joshua.

Note that it would be nice if you could use the configuration sugested
here:

so that the README.html and HEADER.html files will show up.
