rmi port of servicemix
I am using servicemix-3.0 snapshot version and want to start servicemix on
port other than 1099, when I am changing rmiPort in servicemix.xml , its not
doing that , starting on 1099 only. Any idea ?

Integrate Geronimo with JProbe
Posted by MD...@symcor.com.
Hi ,
Can any one pl. help n give some info on the classpath jar files and the
startup class for the Geronimo Server that need to go within the JProbe
configuration dialog.
I used the following to integrate Geronimo with JProbe but the startup
fromJProbe fails.
Server Class
org.apache.geronimo.system.main.Daemon
Classpath.
C:\geronimo-1.0\lib\geronimo-common-1.0.jar;C:\geronimo-1.0\lib\geronimo-kernel-1.0.jar;C:\geronimo-1.0\lib\geronimo-system-1.0.jar;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11\lib\tools.jar;C:\geronimo-1.0\lib\commons-logging-1.0.4.jar;C:\geronimo-1.0\lib\geronimo-common-1.0.jar
I do appreciate any help.
Thanks

There are two ways to change the RMI port in ServiceMix:
1) Through the use of the rmiPort attribute on the container element like so:
<sm:container id="jbi"
name="foo"
rmiPort="1234"
embedded="true"
MBeanServer="#mbeanServer">
2) By configuring the NamingService bean from MX4J and setting the
port property like so:
<bean id="registry" class="mx4j.tools.naming.NamingService"
init-method="start">
<property name="port" value="1091"/>
</bean>
<bean id="serverConnector"
class="org.springframework.jmx.support.ConnectorServerFactoryBean"
depends-on="registry">
<property name="objectName" value="connector:name=rmi"/>
<property name="serviceUrl"
value="service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:1091/jmxrmi"/>
<property name="threaded" value="true"/>
<property name="daemon" value="true"/>
</bean>
Notice that the NamingService must then be used by the
ConnectorServerFactoryBean. In this case it is used via the depends-on
attribute of the bean.
Either of these methods can be used to change the RMI port.

Please post the xml you used with the rmiPort set and the full log to debug
level.

I think you have to edit the jmx.xml file also. and
change the "serviceUrl" attribute.
