SSL access from Apache to Websphere

Hello,

First I explain you my scenario: I have an apache 2 web server installed in a Suse Enterprise Server 9.
I also have a Websphere 5.1 Application Server mounted on a Windows 2000 Server.
I want to acess via SSL from the web server to the application server.
Right now the client can access the Apache via SSL, and also the WebSphere via SSL, too.
The problem is in the connection between Apache and Websphere. I mean, when the client tries to acces an
application installed on the application server, but throught the Apache web server.
However, it works fine if the client tries it withouth SSL, via HTTP.

In the log (/var/log/apache2/error_log) I've found the following error:
File does not exist: /srv/www/htdocs/name_of_application.
I think the apache is not reading the Websphere plugin properly, but only via SSL!! .
I've revised the configuration files and I've not anything rare.

What's wrong?

Please help me!

Hi Francisco,

This question is not appropriate for this mailinglist. You may want to
ask it on users@httpd.apache.org instead, or ask IBM.

However, it seems that the SSL VirtualHost does not know that it should
direct requests for /name_of_application to the WebSphere box, and the
plaintext server does. Maybe you can find out which configuration
directives make this work in the plaintext server, and copy those to
the SSL VirtualHost container.
