[jira] [Updated] (NETBEANS-4877) Wrong warning on Maven
metaversions for non-plugin dependencies
Niklas Matthies updated NETBEANS-4877:
--------------------------------------
Description:
The editor shows warnings for the LATEST and RELEASE metaversions for regular dependencies, although those metaversions have only been deprecated/removed for plugin versions. The text of the warning is "'[dependencyManagement.]dependencies.dependency.version' for <groupId>:<artifactId>:jar is either LATEST or RELEASE (both of them are being deprecated)". This is incorrect.
Expected behavior: Don't ever show that warning for {{<dependency>}} elements (as opposed to {{<plugin>}} elements).
(There is a hint "No metaversions for plugins". Disabling it doesn't change the behavior for non-plugin versions, which makse sense; but it also indicates that there shouldn't be a warning for non-plugin versions.)
