> AsyncFSWAL may easily be broken when upgrading the DFSClient, so we introduced a fallback logic in HBASE-20839. And also, WAL can not be written into a directory with EC enabled, but the API for creating a non-EC file in EC directory is not available in hadoop-2.8-, see HBASE-19369 for more details.
