[Bug 4265] New: Rules for stopping sock spam

http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4265

Summary: Rules for stopping sock spam
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.0.2
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: Rules
        AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
        ReportedBy: dps@simpson.demon.co.uk

The default rules almost completely miss some stock spam I was recieving (most
of it has stopped arriving, possibly because it manages to score >=10.0 so I
never see it). This spam is designed to evade SEC stock warnings tests.

I award 1.0 for p|ease, yourse|f, pu|ication, news|etter, so|icitation, emai|
and a few more similar items (email me for a complete list in rule format). Note
the use of | instead of l. Spam usally either hits none of the rules or at least
4. None of my non-spam email contains any of these things.

I'm hoping to publish the first version of a SARE obfuscation rule set file this
week, which will cover the most common of these problems. Will post the most
successful of these rules here, for full dev mass-check. Setting target for
3.2.0, though some rules may make it into 3.1.0 if there's time.

If anyone can develop an eval or plugin that does the same in more general
terms, that'd be even better...

I think http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/DoYouWantMySpam covers this. Bob, since you have commit
access, please feel free to post any stock rules in your sandbox area. :)
