[jira] [Commented] (PROTON-1870) better logging for ssl

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-1870?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16835743#comment-16835743 ]

Gordon Sim commented on PROTON-1870:
------------------------------------

A specific example is where the certificate is not valid for the intended use, e.g. its only valid for server not for client. The error you get just says the client certificate verification failed, would be nicer to get more details if possible.

> Would be nice to have better logging for ssl connections, particularly where they fail, e.g. the sni used, the ca the peer cert is signed with etc
