+<p>حتى غير المبرمجين يمكنهم المساعدة في تحسين برنامج OpenOffice.org، على سبيل المثال بتبليغ المطوّرين بالأخطاء والنواقص. في معظم الأحيان يؤخذ التبليغ على محمل الجد، إذا كانت المشكلة بسبب خلل برمجي ما يمكن إصلاحه، وإنه لمن المدهش كم من الأخطاء قد حلت بهذه الطريقة منذ بداية المشروع.<p>
+<p>اللغة المستخمدة في نظام Issuezilla، نظام تتبّع الأخطاء في OpenOffice.org هي الإنجليزية، لذا تحتاج بعض المعرفة بتلك اللغة. حتى ذلك لن يضرّ أن نعطي عنه بعض الشرح في هذه الصفحات.<p>
+<p>الكلمة الإنجليزية "issue" في هذا السياق تعني شيئاً مماثلاً لـ"problem" أو مشكلة. عندما تصادف مشكلة ما خلال استخدامك أو تقييمك لـOpenOffice.org، وتشك بأنها بسبب خطأ أو نقص ما في البرنامج، فيمكنك عند ذلك "التبليغ بالمشكلة".<p>
+<p>كي تستطيع القيام بذلك، عليك أن تكون <a href="//servlets/Join">
+مسجلاً</a> كعضو في مشروع OpenOffice.org. ﻻ يتطلّب ذلك أكتر من معرفة عنوان بريدك الإلكتروني من قبل المشروع، ويخولك ذلك بتلقي رسالة حينما يتم التعديل على وضع مشكلتك ("بالحلّ"، كما نرجو). بعد ذلك، يجب أن تكون قد قمت <a href="//servlets/TLogin">بتسجيل الدخول</a>. ﻻحظ أن متصفحك يجب أن يكون معداً لاستقبال ملفات cookies.</p>

+بعد ذلك، تبدأ بتعبئة "التلخيص" "Summary" أو "إدخال الوصف" "A description entry" ببعض الكلمات الإنجليزية التي تعتقد أنها تصف مشكلتك. إضغط على "إرسال" "submit" لترى نتيجة البحث.
+إن لم تظهر نتيجة البحث أي تقرير يصف مشكلتك، يمكنك إكمال المهمة بالضغط على "<a href="//issues/enter_bug.cgi">التبليغ بمشكلة جديدة</a>.</p>

+<p>تمتد جذور OpenOffice.org إلى StarOffice، والذي هو باقة مكتبية طورت في ألماينا منذ أواسط الثمانينيات، والتي اشترت حقوق ملكيتها شركة صن ميكروسستمز في سنة 1999. تمّ إطلاق الإصدار 5.2 من StarOffice في يونيو سنة 2000، وكان الإصدار 6 متوقعاً في مايو سنة 2002.
+الشيء المميز في تطوير StarOffice 7 هو أنه يتمّ في سياق المشروع المفتوح المصدر OpenOffice.org. وكي يكون هذا ممكناً، فتحت شركة صن ميكروسستمز الشيفرة المصدرية لـStarOffice (باستثناء عدد من الوحدات التي طورتها أطراف ثالثة، وبقيت هذه الوحدات خارج المشروع)، وقامت بإنشاء المشروع OpenOffice.org.
