Unable to get transformer handler - WebLogic
Hello everyone,
On a brand new Lenya 1.2.4 install on Solaris using WebLogic as the app server, whenever I log into the Default publication as Editor, I get:
"Unable to get transformer handler for cocoon://lenya-page/default/authoring/index.xml?doctype=homepage"
The login action itself seems to be working; it's the generation of the index page that fails.
See stack trace below. I've seen similar errors from other Lenya users (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.lenya.user/7677 and the Lenya FAQ), but trying those solutions hasn't helped. I upgraded WebLogic's versions of Xalan and Xerces with what came with Lenya 1.2.4, and I've verified that the server can do an HTTP connection to itself (that is, to the host name assigned to the WebLogic instance, *not* localhost).
This problem seems to exist for every page that requires a log in (the Lenya start page works fine, for example).
http://wiki.apache.org/cocoon/BeaWeblogic doesn't seem to apply to the Cocoon 2.1.7/WebLogic 8.1 combination. (Am I wrong?)
My setup:
* Solaris 9 on a Sun server
* WebLogic 8.1 SP4
* Cocoon 2.1.7 built from unix source
* Lenya 1.2.4 built from unix source
* Deployed in WebLogic as expanded war, nostage

I remember with 8.1SP2 that it was very important to get the endorsed
libraries right, e.g.
Xalan
Xerces
xml-apis
bcel
regexp
rhino

you might want to debug it by commenting one transformer after the other
or by inserting
<map:serialize type="xml"/>
and work your way up to the root sitemap
