[jira] [Commented] (FALCON-1786) User Profiles

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-1786?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15119988#comment-15119988 ]

Ajay Yadava commented on FALCON-1786:
-------------------------------------

Thank you for reporting this [~aahn]. This sounds like a very useful feature to me. +1 A related feature request that I have come across is to separate out dashboards for NOC to monitor and dashboards for developers.

Having said that falcon ui is an Angular JS ui and has no server component of its own, it talks to falcon server over REST API. This means that all such code will have to be built on core falcon server, which is a bit ugly in my opinion. Not sure if there are any clean alternatives. Others, thoughts?

> Falcon UI user should have profiles persisted. The items that should be persisted and made easy to access should be:
> - User selectable default search
> - Common suggested searches
> Ideally this should be done in the backend not via browser cache / cookies.
