I've to use the source of subversion for my Suse?

Hi,

I've to use the source of subversion for my Suse?
Or there is a binary version that I can use?

Subversion 1.5.2 is in the 11.1 OSS releases. You can get up to 1.5.5
through the openSUSE Build Service. I have added the one-Click installs
here for those who may desire:
openSUSE-11.1 -
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/openSUSE:11.1/standard/subversion.ymp

Latest (1.5.5) -
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/Subversion/Apache_openSUSE_11.1/subversion.ymp

If you don't have the one-click installers then you should still be able
to get it from your distribution repository (no idea what version the OP
is on).

Regards,
Frank

Believe it or not, I was unable to find a current 1.5.x version of a
build in SUSE. You can try the Redhat package (the binaries should be
compatible), but I ended up building it myself.

Words 'o Warning:

* Make sure you download neon from "http://www.webdav.org/neon/" and
build that. Neon on SUSE is too old a version to work. Otherwise, you
won't be able to use the http://protocol. Only file:// and svn://.

* You need to download quite a few dependencies. At least I did.
Novell SUSE seems to be a pretty stripped down development system.
Fortunately, all except for Neon are available via the graphical
package installer. You'll find out what you need when you run the
configure utility when you try to install Subversion.

Some builds are available on the OpenSuSE buildservice (that's both for
the OpenSuSE and SLES/SLED versions of SuSE).

The buildservice is located here:

<http://software.opensuse.org/search>

Search for Subversion and select your platform.

Cheers. Bye.
