Resolution: Won't Fix
Daniel,
We typically only deploy whatever BSD has in it's ports tree.
So for current mino, which is going to be replaced this week with a new build, the version of java that is available and built is here: http://tb.apache.org//packages/8.2-RELENG-people/java/
So there will be a minor upgrade as a result of the new machine.
