Basic genral information is needed.
Freinds,
I am familar with searh engine algoritms/concepts.
However, I am new to lucene.
My question: How long it takes to learn/control lucence and be able to build
around it a simple application?
I know it is different for each person, but a rough estiamte will be good
for me.
I am going to spend on lucene 20 hours per week.
One month sound reasonable?
Thanks for the help,
Diab.

Well, you can be up and running and searching with Solr in about 15-30
minutes w/o any programming. As for Lucene, I don't think it takes
more than a day or two to have basic indexing and searching running,
if that. From there, the answer, of course, is it depends on what you
want to do.
