jspc help

Hi all,
I'm trying to get jspc to work and have trouble with its options.
My goal is to compile a .jsp to a .class, to check if there were syntax
errors in it.

Using soemthing like:
jspc -uriroot C:\product\portal\jsp error.jsp

I successfully generate the .java, but not the .class.

Does any of you have an idea about the options to use to get the desired
result ?

Thanks in advance.

Opinions are my own.

Thanks for the quick answer Danno. I'll manage to get my goal with that for now:
I'll write an Ant task to compile the generated java file.

JspC does not do the java compilation, it merely creates the servlet
code. The idea is it is used to prototype/develop in JSP and then when
code goes production or into source control as java code. Making it do
java compilation as well is just an issue of me (or anyone else) wiring
up the rest of the servlet classes and adding the command switches and
flags to turn it on and delete the code.
