Jenkins jobs for the projects that have migrated to git
Hi
Can someone please have a look at the Jenkins jobs for our projects that
have migrated to git; scm, wagon, surefire. I feel the jobs are sending
mails when they shouldn't. The projects are built even though no changes
seems to have been made in git. It's making it hard to see the forest
for all the trees on notifications@m.a.o.

Yup I have already desactivated this job and created
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-5395.
Some nodes ubuntu_ARM* are for 1.7 only.

Reading more logs it is logical.
every 20 minutes jenkins tries to check if something changed in git, it
selects a node, it tries to clone the repository, fails and send the
notification

I didn't investigated a lot but many SCM wrong notifications are because
jenkins is trying to clone the repository on a node that doesn't have git
installed :
https://builds.apache.org/job/maven-scm-1.7/98/consoleFull
Building remotely on ubuntu_ARM_12
<https://builds.apache.org/computer/ubuntu_ARM_12> in workspace
/home/jenkins/jenkins-slave/workspace/maven-scm-1.7
java.io.IOException
<http://stacktrace.jenkins-ci.org/search?query=java.io.IOException>:
error=2, No such file or directory

There is something I don't understand (I didn't investigate more).The
regression has been introduced in 1.481 but our Jenkins instance is
1.480.

Hi Olivier
Do you know if there has been any progress on this?
I found this issue that tracks the regression in Jenkins JIRA:
https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-15367
We really need to get this fixed before we put Maven 3 + ITs in Git and
running the builds on Jenkins. As an example I had a quick look at the
notifications list, and found 66 messages for maven-scm in 3 days. With
that amount of traffic its near impossible for anyone to see when
something actually breaks.

that's a jenkins issue.
side effect of https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-12735
I think that will be reverted.
