[jira] [Commented] (HIVE-10926) Create Json-servlet reporter for metrics

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-10926?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15013741#comment-15013741 ]

Jimmy Xiang commented on HIVE-10926:
------------------------------------

In HIVE-12338, a JMX json metrics servlet will be used to report metrics. Codahale has a built-in JMX reporter. So the JMX json metrics servlet can report codahale metrics together with other JMX metrics. So probably we don't need another servlet for codahale metrics?

> Codahale comes with a json-servlet reporter, which would be easiest to consume for monitoring tools vs other formats.
> We could leverage this by creating a http server for HS2 and HMS and adding this servlet.
