I installed httpd 2.2.3 on Solaris 10 x86 as follows:

$ ./configure --disable-ipv6 --with-included-apr
$ make

The error was displayed:

Undefined                       first referenced
 symbol                             in file
find_if_index                      
/home/src/httpd-2.2.3/srclib/apr/.libs/libapr-1.so
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to .libs/htpasswd
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [htpasswd] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/src/httpd-2.2.3/support'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/src/httpd-2.2.3/support'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

There are no problem as follows:

$ ./configure --disable-ipv6
$ make

$ ./configure --with-included-apr
$ make
